Group Head of IT & Tools (m/w/d)

Your mission

You own the group-wide IT and tools landscape of the Orca Group and shape how our employees work digitally. Your goal is to create a harmonized, secure, and scalable IT environment with shared tools, centralized identity and service structures, and a modern AI-enabled workplace.

You combine strategy with execution: You develop our group-wide IT target architecture, consolidate historically grown systems and tools, and drive cloud, automation, self-service, and AI across the organization. You lead the IT & Tools team and external IT partners and report directly to our Group CTO.
  • Develop and own the group-wide IT strategy and roadmap, focusing on cloud, automation, AI, self-service, and a harmonized tools landscape.
  • Harmonize and develop our core business tools, including Microsoft 365, Atlassian, Salesforce, and Zuora, and establish group-wide standards for governance, permissions, integrations, and lifecycle management.
  • Shape our identity and access landscape based on Microsoft Entra ID and further develop SSO and automated joiner, mover, and leaver processes together with HR.
  • Build a modern AI-enabled workplace with appropriate AI tools, automation, and clear standards for productive, secure, and data-compliant use.
  • Optimize service desk, device management, and workplace IT through centralized standards, zero-touch provisioning, and a high degree of automation.
  • Manage licenses, SaaS costs, contracts, and external IT partners and achieve measurable efficiency and cost benefits through consolidation.
  • Lead and develop the IT & Tools team and drive the further retirement of existing on-premise and legacy systems.

Your profile

  • Several years of experience in IT, including multiple years in an IT leadership role with responsibility for a company-wide or group-wide IT landscape.
  • Proven experience in harmonizing and consolidating IT systems and business tools across multiple teams, locations, or companies.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID, particularly identity and access management, SSO, and automated joiner, mover, and leaver processes.
  • Experience managing modern SaaS and business tool landscapes, such as Atlassian, Salesforce, or comparable platforms, as well as license and vendor management.
  • Experience with service management, device management, and automation, combined with a solid understanding of workplace security and relevant governance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools and automation and the ability to drive their productive and secure adoption across the organization.
  • Confident communication skills in German (at least C1 level) and English (at least B2 level).
  • Nice to have, but not a must: Experience in a software group or PE-backed environment, as well as experience retiring on-premise infrastructure.
